With warm weather quickly approaching, its my time to get ready for grilling season. And there is no easier way to make a meal on the grill, then to make foil pouch meals.
The key to making foil pouch meals, is to prep and prepare the meal pouches ahead of time. Pop them in the fridge till your ready to grill. This meal can be also be cooked in the oven as well.
All ingredients are prepped, and then wrapped in foil. I make foil pouch meals in advance, when we are heading to the beach House. We put them in the cooler to transport. When it’s time for dinner just pop the pouches on the grill.

Easy prep ahead meal for the grill that won’t heat the house up.
- 1 Lb Flank steak Thinly sliced
- 2 Green peppers Seeds removed andThinly sliced
- 2 Red peppers Seeds removed and thinly sliced
- 1 Large White onion Thinly sliced
- 2 Pks Lowery fajita mix You can just use one package. I like extra sauce to dribble over the packets
- 1 Pk Flour tortillas
- Toppings of your choice
Thinly slice the flank steak. Mix one package of the fajita mix according to instructions on the package. Put the sliced meat into the fajita mix. Let sit while you prepare the other ingredients.
Cut your 4 bell peppers in halve and remove the seeds. After the seeds are removed, thinly slice the peppers at approximately 1/4” wide slices
Thinly slice the entire onion, at approximately 1/8 th inch slices.
Lay a sheet of foil down. Bend the sides up a bit to make a bowl. Repeat four times.
Remove the meat slices from the fajita mix, draining the fajita liquid. Divide the meats slices between the four “bowls”.
Next add the peppers and onion slices again dividing them between the for “bowls”.
Mix the second package of fajita mix according to package instructions. After the fajita seasoning is mixed, spoon the fajita sauce over the ingredients in each pouch.
Bring the sides of the foil together, overlapping the foil. Roll the overlap in the foil down to seal the pouches.
Set barbecue grill to 350 degrees. Place pouches on grill. Leave on grill for 30 minutes.
Remove the pouches from the grill and allow to cool slightly.
Put the fajita mixture on flour tortillas, and add toppings as desired.
**In case your barbecue gets rained out these pouches can be cooked in the oven at degrees for 30 minutes.
